Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about Tattersfield

How do Tattersfield mattresses compare to other brands?

Tattersfield has been making mattresses in New Zealand since 1912, so we've had over a century to learn how Kiwis sleep. Whether you want everyday comfort, contouring support, adaptive PowerCoil technology, or premium natural materials, there's a Tattersfield mattress made for you, not a one-size-fits-all solution.

Where can I try a Tattersfield mattress?

Tattersfield mattresses are exclusive to Harvey Norman, so you can try before you buy and get advice in store. Check the store locator to find your nearest Harvey Norman retailer.

Can you recycle my old mattress?

Every Tattersfield Habitat mattress with SmartCell technology can be returned to our production facility at the end of its life and recycled into new products like carpet underlay, so your old mattress doesn't have to go to landfill.

How long is the warranty on Tattersfield mattresses?

Warranties vary by range, from 5 years on Habitat and Posture Classic to 10 years on Posture Advance, Supportapaedic and Signature.

Where are Tattersfield mattresses made?

All Tattersfield mattresses are made in New Zealand, using New Zealand-made materials wherever possible. Our steel trundler base is imported from China.

Do I need to rotate my Tattersfield mattress?

To help equalise body impressions and extend your mattress's lifespan, you should rotate your mattress regularly. We generally recommend you rotate your mattress every two weeks for the first two months, then every three months after that, but be sure to follow any specific instructions that come with your mattress model.

Are Tattersfield mattresses suitable for allergy or asthma sufferers?

Yes. Every Tattersfield mattress is made with Sensitive Choice approved Dunlop Foams and treated with Ultra-Fresh, making them suitable for people with asthma and allergies.
